Usage notes
- For “practice” as repeated exercise, use fare pratica or mettere in pratica; esercizio is a single exercise, not the general skill-building process.
- In offices, una pratica means an application, case, or paperwork file. Very common in bureaucratic and legal contexts.
- To say “I’m out of practice,” use non avere pratica or perdere la pratica, not *non praticare* in this sense.
