Usage notes
- Before a noun, questo agrees in gender and number: questo libro, questa casa, questi libri, queste case.
- Use questo for something near the speaker or just mentioned; use quello for something farther away or more distant in context.
- Before vowels, masculine singular becomes quest': quest'anno. Feminine singular also uses quest': quest'amica.
- before a vowel: quest'
