Usage notes
- Usually comes after the noun: il giorno seguente. Before the noun is possible but more formal or literary.
- More formal than prossimo in many contexts. For dates and everyday speech, prossimo is often more natural.
- Agree it like a normal adjective: seguente, seguenti. Don't confuse singular following with plural following ones.
