Notas de uso
- Use buonanotte when parting for sleep or at bedtime; use buona sera when greeting someone in the evening.
- Often written as one word: buonanotte. The two-word form buona notte also exists, but the single word is very common.
- It works alone as a farewell, but Italians also say dormi bene or sogni d'oro in warmer, more intimate contexts.
