Notas de uso
- Mostly formal, legal, or bureaucratic. In everyday speech, Italians usually prefer dire, ordinare, comunicare, or notificare.
- Common pattern: intimare a qualcuno di + infinitive. Example: intimare al debitore di pagare.
- Do not confuse with intimidire. Intimare means to order or formally notify, not to frighten someone.
