Notas de uso
- More formal and literary than prevedere. In everyday speech, Italians usually prefer prevedere for forecasts and expectations.
- Use it for statements about the future: predire il futuro, predire un evento. Not for planning or scheduling.
- It conjugates like dire: io predico, tu predici, lui predice; past participle detto pattern becomes predetto.
- present: predico, predici, predice, prediciamo, predite, predicono
- past participle predetto
