- Often used in official or administrative contexts: residente a Roma, residente all'estero. In casual speech, abitare/vivere somewhere is often more natural.
- As a noun, it agrees in number: il residente, i residenti. The singular form is the same for masculine and feminine: la residente.
- Don't confuse residente with cittadino: a residente lives somewhere, but may not have citizenship there.
