Notas de uso
- Very formal/literary; in everyday Italian, speakers usually prefer lì, là, or ci depending on context.
- Often appears after a noun phrase in bureaucratic or written style: nel documento ivi allegato, le persone ivi residenti.
- Do not use it for motion toward a place; for 'to there,' Italian normally uses lì/là or ci, not ivi.
