Notas de uso
- As a direct object clitic, la usually comes before the conjugated verb: La vedo. Attach it to infinitives, imperatives, and gerunds: vederla, guardala, vedendola.
- With the formal Lei, la means "you" only as a direct object: La chiamo domani. Do not use it for informal "you"; use ti instead.
- In the passato prossimo, a preceding la can trigger past participle agreement, especially in careful writing: L'ho vista.
