Notas de uso
- For the sport, Italian often says fare vela or andare a vela. vela alone can mean the activity, but usually with context.
- Do not confuse vela with veliero: vela is the sail; veliero is a sailing ship.
- A vela after a noun means 'sail-powered': barca a vela, nave a vela. It does not mean 'with a sail' in every context.
