Editorial policy

How HeyPolyglot's blog posts are written, checked, translated and corrected.

Who writes

Posts are written by the people who teach and build HeyPolyglot. Every post names its author, and its reviewer when a second teacher has checked it.

How we check

Every example sentence is written or checked by someone who knows the language well. We test each rule against real usage and against the app's own lessons, so the blog and the app teach the same thing.

Translations and AI

A post in Spanish or Portuguese starts from the original. AI tools may draft a first version and check it for consistency, but a person reviews every version before it is published. Examples in the language you're learning are never translated, only explained.

Updates and corrections

When we change a post in a way that matters, its updated date changes. If you spot a mistake, let us know and we'll fix it.
