Usage notes
- Use 'comporre' for dialing numbers, not 'chiamare' (to call). 'Comporre il numero' is standard.
- For music/art, 'comporre' means 'to write' (a song, symphony). 'Scrivere' is too general here.
- Reflexive 'comporre' (comporre + si) means 'to calm down' or 'compose oneself.' Don't confuse with transitive uses.
