Usage notes
- More formal and bureaucratic than con or tramite. In everyday speech, Italians often prefer con or tramite.
- Use it before a noun phrase: mediante bonifico, mediante email. It is not followed directly by an infinitive.
- For causes, per or a causa di are usually more natural. mediante for 'because of' sounds formal and limited.
