Usage notes
- Very formal and bureaucratic; in everyday speech, use se or nel caso in cui instead.
- Usually followed by the subjunctive: qualora fosse necessario, qualora arrivasse tardi.
- Do not use it as a noun or adverb; it only introduces a subordinate clause.
