Usage notes
- Use scorrere for liquids, text, images, or time moving along. For physical slipping/falling, prefer scivolare.
- For quickly reading or browsing, scorrere is more neutral than sfogliare, which suggests turning pages of a physical book or magazine.
- In compound tenses, intransitive scorrere usually takes essere: il tempo è scorso. Transitive uses take avere: ho scorso il documento.
- past participle scorso
