Usage notes
- Often interchangeable with completamente; totalmente can sound slightly more formal or emphatic in careful speech and writing.

- Avoid using it where del tutto is more idiomatic in negatives: non sono del tutto convinto sounds more natural than non sono totalmente convinto.
