Usage notes
- Use ugualmente more in writing or formal speech; comunque is more common in everyday conversation for “anyway/still.”
- For “equally” with comparisons, tanto... quanto or allo stesso modo often sounds more natural than ugualmente.
- It can stand alone politely in replies: Grazie, ugualmente! = “Thanks, same to you!”
