Notas de uso
- For exams, plans, or attempts, Italian often prefers non riuscire or non passare over fallire.
- With direct objects, fallire means miss or fail: fallire il bersaglio, fallire un obiettivo. Avoid using a preposition there.
- For companies, use essere fallito or fallire. In legal/business contexts, dichiarare fallimento is more formal.
