Notas de uso
- Use restaurare for buildings, artworks, furniture, or old films. For a person recovering health, say ristabilirsi or riprendersi, not restaurarsi.
- For legal or institutional return, restaurare is formal; reintegrare or ristabilire is often more common in everyday contexts.
- With avere in compound tenses: ho restaurato il quadro. Passive is common: il palazzo è stato restaurato.
