Notas de uso

  • Use spostare for moving something from one place to another; muovere is broader and often means causing movement, not necessarily relocating.
  • For rescheduling, Italian often says spostare un appuntamento/una riunione, not cambiare, when the event stays the same but the time changes.
  • As a transitive verb it takes avere: ho spostato il tavolo. Reflexive spostarsi takes essere: mi sono spostato/a.
